Website Re-design
The webste that I will rdesign is: www.southbaysports.com
The Grid:
I think the layout of the content could be use a little bit better. They use 3 columns but I think they could use 2 columns. Also I dont think they need a 3rd column for the facebook and twiter.
Color:
I think the blue in the background is well used, however I think the white in the middle doesnt fit well with the rest of the page
Navigation:
The navigation is not clear enough because there are two navigation bars which could create some confusion of where to go
Design Principles:
The 3 column design could create a little bit of clutter, with a 2 column design the cluttered would go away. Also the music becomes tiring after a few seconds
Typography:
Since they used tables for most of the info, there is not too much to change there. Maybe the typography for the navigation words could be larger

The Grid Theory consists of having things line up with the right visual proportion. This right proportion consists of dividing the space on a 1.6 ratio. This is important for designer because using this ratio creates a pleasant design for the viewers

Left-column Navigation: 75% of the Websites use this design
Right-column Navigation: Not used very often
Three-column Navigation: White spaces are very important to make sure the website doesn’t seem to clutter
